Firmly established as a Melbourne favourite, global noodle giant Ajisen Ramen continues to expand and update its menu to provide even more great choices for its customers.
In addition to its famous Kumamoto-style tonkotsu (pork bone marrow) soup ramen, you can now get Vegetarian Gyoza, Saba Shioyaki (grilled mackerel), Spring Rolls, Japanese-style Potato Salad. It’s a great mix of traditional and more modern Japanese dishes and should mean there’s something for everyone.
Of course, all the established menu favourites also remain, with dishes like Hiyashi Chuka (chilled ramen) and Paiku Ramen on the noodle side, and Gyudon and Japanese Curry on the rice side, as well as a range of regular and premium bento for those after a quick, delicious takeout. Lunch sets are available between 11.30am and 5.00pm, too.
Customers looking to enjoy a really filling meal can choose from either the ‘Sumo’ or ‘Samurai’ Value Combos as well. The Sumo Combo allows you to choose from any ramen and add a mini donburi and green tea/houjicha for just $7.00, while the Samurai Combo lets you add one of several entrees and green tea/houjicha to your ramen for just $6.50. Bargain.
As with all Ajisen Ramen meals, dishes and drinks come in high-quality, locally-sourced recyclable containers, which helps reduce water, cleaning chemical and electricity use, and recently, Ajisen also started making noodles fresh here in Melbourne, which cuts down on airfreight emissions, as they were previously imported from China. Gyoza are also made fresh each day.
Now open in Knox Westfield and Chadstone, maybe your suburb will be the next to get an Ajisen Ramen.
