ワールドカップは、弊社の業務とはあまり関係のない話でありますが。。。

現地時間２０１４年７月１３日 サッカーワールドカップは、決勝戦のドイツ対アルゼンチンをもって全日程が終了しました。西ドイツ時代を含めドイツが通算４度目の優勝を成し遂げました。おめでとうございます！！！

さて、この大会が始まる前に、興味深い記事を見つけました。
優勝国予想の記事です。
ご存知の方も多いかもしれませんが、こちらを参照してください。(viewed 14 July 2014)

記事の結論から申し上げますと、予測優勝国はアルゼンチンです。しかし、なぜアルゼンチンなのかを検証する過程が興味深いので紹介させていただきました。

勿論、例外やデータにそわない結果が出ることもありますが、バロンドールの呪いや歴代優勝国と歴代開催地（大陸）の関係などが論じられています。（今回はドイツ（欧州）がブラジル（南米）で優勝しましたが。）

次回のワールドカップは２０１８年ロシア。４年間は長いような短いような気がします。
